Road Report for Hwy 37 Stewart-Cassiar June 9/08 - Al Verishine

Kitwanga to Bell 2: Very good.

Bell 2 to Dease Lake: Gravel section by Iskut River in good condition.

Dease Lake to Juntion 37: gravel section north of Dease Lake very good. Road surface is very good to Good Hope Lake Lodge sign. There is some road re-surfacing taking place around km 620-635.

Road surface goes away about 20kms short of the Junction 37. Very bad frost heaves and broken chip seal. These sections should be approached very slowly and carefully. Drivers will have to pick their way through the frost heaves. There are short distances of this road condition right to the Junction.
